Roland Mouret's Fall 2012 collection was all about ladylike layering. His inspiration point was Paris in 1947, when the big freeze occurred, as he paired a variety of fur vests and caplets over turtleneck sweaters and tops, and origami-inspired jackets over sheath dresses

Balmain Runway Fall 2012

Olivier Rousteing conjured up a Louis the XIV-meets-rocker vibe for Balmain's Fall 2012. It's Balmain's signature cool-girl appeal done up in rich Baroque-era references








Carven Runway Fall 2012

Drawing from a decidedly Medieval mood, the line boasted strong ecclesiastical references that included, but weren't limited to, cathedral-style laser cutouts, rich tapestry motifs, a stained-glass color palette, and scenery straight from the Middle Ages printed onto full A-line skirts.
