Prada's latest S/S 2012 look is
bathed in the glamour of the 50s and
the American dream, the campaign is
a collection of iconographic impressions
of pop and style culture.
Prada described it as ‘a virtual collage of feminine film iconography
unfolds in this hyper-real gas station fantasy’.
Though we can’t always afford it,
we love the designer's light-hearted and
approachable take on fashion
and we want to keep an eye on
what’s going on
in the fabulous world of high fashion!
flamed out stilettos with 3-D spurs flaming from the heels
& delicate rose anklets
beautiful embroidered flowers
bandeau tops & fluttery soleil-pleated skirts
gorgeous straw bags
one-piece pin-up worthy bathing suits with
pretty embroidery & perforated bags
large resin flowers and crystals in their necklaces and earrings
retro feminine eyewear & flowered studded, faux-antique necklaces
soft lightweight blouses & structured totes
Clutches in embroidered cotton or leather with car appliqués
and other comic-like motifs
The campaign was shot by photographer Steven Meisel and features the models Kati Nescher, Meghan Collison, Natasha Poly, Elise Crombez, Ymre Stiekema and Kathryn Kruger.
